Notes Frank Knox revived the centuries-old art form of ornamental turning, adding a contemporary design sensibility. He began pursuing woodworking after retiring. His work was primarily ornamental because he learned to turn on the Holtzapffel lathe. These candlesticks combine exotic woods and the contemporary material Corian, a man-made substitute for ivory.
