Notes Ted Hunter, a sculptor and teacher, found the inspiration for this piece in his contemplation of the Gulf War. In "Our Children Watch", he envisions a girl innocently skipping rope, but to his horror realizes that the handles to the jump rope are made from discarded rockets. This is a political statement on war and its aftermath.
