Notes Paul Clare's pot evolved out of experiments with microwaving his work to distort gills on fungal forms. He also applied this method to tribal style pots, producing the effects of movement and tactility, as well as an ancient appearance. The patina was the result of "pickling" the object in iron salts and underlines the "oldness" of the work.
